Look back to an exciting year in motorsport history..

That year, the world discovered a young boy with unlimited driving talent and a will to push harden than anybody else and establish new records.

The birth of a Champion

The 2004 World Rally Championship created a motorsport legend, a nine-time world champion, and a man who doesn’t fear pushing it to the limit.

Sebastien Loeb’s first WRC season came with all the drama and adrenaline rush worthy of a legendary victory.

Having joined Citroën Total World Rally Team in 2002, and having finished as a runner-up in the 2003 season, finishing just one point behind Petter Solberg, Loeb was primed for success for a third running season with the same team.

From Monte Carlo to Australia

He took the stakes and raised them to the next level, winning a record-breaking six out of sixteen rallies for the season and finishing on the podium for a grand total of twelve rallies in the season. This tied the all time world record set by Didier Auriol, himself a Frenchman, in 1992. He delivered the Citroën team their second title in rally championships.

Despite being known popularly as a tarmac specialist, Loeb also proved to be a winner on other surfaces this season, winning the Swedish snow rally and the Turkish gravel rally.

Winning the fight against Petter Solberg

Car retirements for the Mexico and Spain rallies did not deter him from his ultimate goal. He finished thirty-six points above his title contender Petter Solberg, and finished off the season with a victory in Australia.

A momentous victory and one for the history books.

The beginning of an amazing journey

This set the stage for a stellar career in motorsport. His confident victories in this season paved the way for a trailblazing champion who came back to win the title eight more times. Like a pro, his career represents relentless winning and upping the ante over and over again.

Love, determination and courage

This also sparked a career that spans across the tarmac and dust tracks, across DTM, and the 24 hours of Le Mans. Loeb is more than just a multiple WRC holder, he is a pioneer of motorsport, who’s name will live on in the record books for a long time to come.

We could not be prouder to have anyone else partner with us for our first NFT collection, a proven winner, a legend, and a pioneer willing to risk it all.

His values match our vision and dreams.
